26 August 2010: Hovering with only the rear wheels touching the edge of a cliff, pilots from Company B - "Blackcats", 2nd General Support Aviation Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas, perform a maneuver called a pinnacle landing in CH-47F Chinook helicopter 07-08036 during a training flight. The pinnacle allows the pilots to drop off ground forces in areas too dangerous or too difficult to fully complete a landing.
