THE PLASTIC COATING.  IF THE COATING IS SERVICEABLE, PROCEED TO STEP 
 
H BELOW.  IF THE COATING HAS BEEN DAMAGED, PROCEED TO PARA 9B.

END OF THE CABLE.  CAREFULLY SLIDE THE TOP OF THE CONNECTOR OFF THE 
 
BLACK PLUG.  IDENTIFY THE TWO INSERT KEYS AND THEIR POSITIONS (EACH 
 
KEY IS DIFFERENT).  HOLD THEM IN PLACE WHILE PERFORMING THE 
 
FOLLOWING STEPS.  IF THE INSERT KEY(S) FALL OFF DURING DISASSEMBLY 
 
OR REASSEMBLY OF THE CONNECTOR, REINSTALL THEM IMMEDIATELY IAW THE 
 
CAUTION BELOW.

FAILURE TO PERFORM THIS PROCEDURE CORRECTLY MAY LEAD TO A SYSTEM 
 
FAILURE.  TO REINSTALL THE INSERT KEYS, PLACE THE KEY WITH THE 
 
SINGLE TAB INTO THE SLOT LOCATED ON THE METAL BASE OF THE CONNECTOR.  
 
ALIGN THE OTHER END OF THE KEY (END WITH TWO TABS) ON

PLUG AND CABLE.  ENSURE THE NEW HEAT SHRINK OVERLAPS THE EXISTING 
 
HEAT SHRINK AND BUTTS UP AGAINST THE METAL BASE OF THE CONNECTOR END 
 
OF THE CABLE.
 
              (D)  SHRINK THE TUBING ONTO THE CABLE.  DURING THE 
 
SHRINKING PROCESS, ENSURE THE NEW HEAT SHRINK COVERS ALL EXPOSED 
 
CABLE AND OVERLAPS THE EXISTING HEAT SHRINK.
 
              (E)  SLIDE THE TOP PORTION OF THE CONNECTOR OVER THE 
 
BLACK PLUG AND INSERT KEYS.  TURN THE CONNECTOR UNTIL IT CLICKS INTO 
 
PLACE.  THE CLICK MEANS THAT THE CONNECTOR IS PROPERLY ALIGNED WITH 
 
THE INSERT KEYS.
 
              (F)  SLIDE THE BOTTOM PORTION OF THE CONNECTOR UP THE 
 
CABLE AND SCREW IT INTO THE TOP CONNECTOR.  HAND TIGHTEN ONLY.
